Our client operates a successful, efficient system-one farm in the Woodville district.  With relatively flat contour, a 60-bail rotary with ACRs and animal shelters this is a very well set up farm. 

They are now looking for an experienced 2IC to join the team as soon as possible to work alongside the lower order sharemilker.  This role will have animal husbandry responsibility for 600+ cows, so previous experience at this level is essential.  In addition, the successful candidate will be:

·      Proactive and able to use their initiative

·      Competent and confident in the ‘solid basics’ including managing young stock, tractor driving, water management, fencing, running the shed etc

·      Be able to supervise junior staff

·      Someone who is willing to go the extra mile, and in particular have the wherewithal and ability to be able to ‘step in’ in the LOSM’s absence
