Wairarapa Moana is one of New Zealand’s larger farming operations with 3,850 hectares in dairy farms, milking over 12,000 cows, and another 1,500 hectares in dairy support. They also manage over 5,800 hectares in forestry land and have a significant investment in dairy processing.

 

Wairarapa Moana’s vision is to nurture their taonga and resources for the current and future generations of the Wairarapa Moana Whanau. To help them do this, they want an experienced and motivated analyst, to join their team.

 

Reporting to the GM – Finance and Support Services, this role has input into the creation and maintenance of a data management/reporting system, whilst working alongside the major decision-makers in the business. The role offers a varied working environment with time split between our farm and town offices. Your skills will play a vital part in the business's continued progression.

 

This role is likely to suit someone who is a seasoned business analyst who loves ‘working the figures’ and deriving valuable observations from large data sets.

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

·      A Bachelor’s degree in Agri-Business or similar

·      Two to three years’ experience in an analyst position

·      An understanding or previous exposure to dairy faming

·      Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking capability

·      Resilience under pressure

·      Traits of a completer/finisher with an eye for detail
